JD Beach & Estenson Racing’s Twins Team Ready to Stretch the Legs of the MT-07 DT at the Springfield Mile
Estenson Racing’s JD Beach, Jake Johnson and Kolby Carlile are ready to get back to American Flat Track action this weekend at one of the sport’s iconic events – the Springfield Mile at the Illinois State Fairgrounds on Sunday, May 26.
The Estenson Racing Yamaha MT-07 DT is still in the early stages of development, but the entire team is looking forward to hitting the Mile tracks and seeing the fast dirt track racer stretch its legs. The first of whom is two-time Grand National Champion Johnson. Normally the team veteran is into the rougher tracks, but Johnson is eager to get on the fast track and make it win number three at the Springfield Mile.
JD is also looking forward to hitting the big tracks. He hasn’t raced the Springfield Mile since 2013 and would like to check another square on the Grand Slam list this season with a win on a Mile.
Meanwhile, the youngest member on the Twins team, Carlile, is just happy to return to racing after being sidelined for a race to mend his injured leg. With the Sacramento Mile getting postponed for weather, Carlile’s championship hopes in the Production Twins class are not too far out of reach and the 2017 AFT Singles champ is eager to make up for lost time.

“I’ve been racing there since 2013. The last time I was there, it went really well, so I’m really looking forward to getting back there. It’s a track that I like a lot. I’ve actually been there every race since the last time I raced there just to watch. I also can’t wait to get the MT-07 DT out on the Mile, I think it’s going to be great. I know it’s really quick, so I’m looking forward to that. I think it’s going to be a great weekend.”
